Conference Vision
Our current age has been framed by the concept of the ‘information age’. Many long-standing societal, business and institutional systems have either lost their relevance or have transformed beyond recognition. Education does not stand untouched, frequently operating in unstable economic and policy environments.
We look afresh and identify new models, approaches for education (OER, MOOCs, PLE’s, Learning Analytics). For learners this has also been a great leap – the networked learner is sharing voluntarily and for free, spontaneously with billions of people.
In the new learning environments the core players and stakeholders – learners, educators, government bodies, educational and learning institutions – increasingly acknowledge the chance for constructive and positive changes. Perhaps there are new business models, new policies, different ways to understand technological influences, the networked society – the learning environment, in its widest sense.
EDEN 25
We are proud, being a continuously strengthening and developing European association in the field of open, distance and e-learning, learning modernization and innovation, having reached our 25th Anniversary in 2016.
The historical perspective from the start has been conceived as a dialogue between the experience and the imagination. Some celebration is allowed, but what EDEN would like to use special occasion is combining past and future in synchron with the concept of the anniversary conference, to find out what has been important, worth of acknowledging as mainstream and sustainable – created by our academic and professional community.

Hi,
the ARTES community of practices is a selection of EU funded projects that use different art forms, so you can find here inspirations to replicate or create new learning paths and also pratictiones to share ideas and practices.
If you can add some more information/details about the ” new knowledge” you mention in your message I will be happy to suggest the participation to some ARTES groups where you could find people with your same interests.
Until soon
