Count Me In – E-learning programme
Introduction

The Count Me In E-Learning Programme is designed to transfer knowledge and ideas about setting up and delivering a supported work programme for people with special needs in the cultural sector.The programme is based upon knowledge, real life examples and experience of delivering successful work programmes and vocational training at Gaia Museum Outsider Art, Debajo del Sombrero, Ligeværd and the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum.

The Aims & Objectives

  • To discover methods used by Gaia Museum to implement a work programme for people with special educational needs.
  • To create a work based training programme for people with special needs for your museum, gallery or cultural institution based upon the methodologies used in Gaia Museum Outsider Art and expertise from partners in the Count Me In project.

  • Individuals wishing to learn more about working with people with special needs in the workplace.

What do I need to access and use the course?

  • An good internet connection
  • Computer or tablet (see note below if using an ipad)
  • Speakers or headphones (a transcript is also available in the course)
  • A printer to print resources

How long will it take?

Each learner has a different pace of learning but we would recommend allowing a day or 2 half days to go through the course properly. If you are looking to create your own programme then you will need to allow additional time for this.
