    The Imaginary Friend

    by
My alter ego Ski tends to show up when I feel disconnected and not having any reason to speak. Do forgive the low quality video. The background could have been a blank wall but all the walls in my house are either taken or I've painted on them. :) Mime as therapy is not used in India. I am trying to reach out to others who might understand the context and comfort in which the process of mime automatically allows one to dwell into a realm that is otherwise perceived to be 'crazy'. If I did not have the make up/costume on without the music I would have easily been passed off as someone crazy. The fact that this act comes with tools to enhance it automatically classifies it as a piece of art and not madness. 4

    by
The objective of the project is to examine to what extent the application of Forum Theatre methodology by teachers, combined with practical knowledge about intercultural relations, may reduce the risk of early school leaving by youth aged 13 to 16. We have finished second phase of the project. After publishing the research report called Examining Early School Leaving Factors in Five European Contexts we conducted pilot workshops in local schools and their final effect was the Forum Theatre play of course. You can find videos recorded in five countries during the workshops, rehearsals and final performances on our FOTEL Project youtube channel. 2

    Grey Matters

    by

The Grey Matters project has been created to continue the spirit of the European Year of Active Ageing and Solidarity and seeks to find ways to improve education, community engagement and well-being for older people, by examining ways of re-engaging older people in community life through involvement in informal learning through participatory theatre and arts.

In particular the project will address:

    • A widening gulf of misunderstanding between different generations
    • The lack of opportunities for interaction, joint learning opportunities for different generations
    • The lack of confidence which is a barrier to learning for older people, older people feeling they are too old to learn, and have nothing to give to community
